Sabine Schenk

Sabine Schenk is a New York based producer and line producer. In 1998 she founded her company Schenk Productions, Inc., which offers production services for local and international film projects. She co-produced the documentary Ferry Tales by Katja Esson, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2004, and in 2008 she line-produced the New York unit of the Oscar Nominated film, The Reader, directed by Stephen Daldry. In 2014 Sabine Schenk and Anja Murmann launched Shorelight Pictures. She produced Anja Murmann’s Unintended which premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in 2018. She co-produced the award-winning feature Mickey and the Bear directed by Annabelle Attanasio which premiered SXSW 2019 and at Cannes Acid. In 2019 she line produced the New York unit for the Netflix series Unorthodox, for which the director Maria Schrader received an Emmy. After line producing and co-producing a number of Katja Esson’s documentaries, she is currently executive producing her feature length documentary, Razing Liberty Square, in association with Shorelight Pictures. She is also an executive producer on Stephen Moier’s new movie A Bit of Light starring Anna Paquin. She is currently in development for two feature films.

Anja Murmann - Shorelight Pictures Producer

Anja Murmann

Anja Murmann is a producer, writer, director based in New York. Her first short film, ‘Wishful Thinking’ won first prize at the NYU Student Film Festival in 1991 and the Otto Sprenger Prize in Hamburg, Germany. Her first feature film, ‘Fifteen Months in May’, won “Best New Director – Special Mention” at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 1997.

Unintended’ is Anja Murmann’s second feature. It premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in 2018. It is distributed by FilmRise. In 2014, she founded her production company, Shorelight Pictures, together with Sabine Schenk. They co-produced the award winning feature ‘Mickey and the Bear’ directed by Annabelle Attanasio which premiered SXSW 2019 and at Cannes Acid. It’s distributed by Utopia.

She recently co-wrote a feature film ‘Shelter in Place’ with James Carman. She is one of the executive producers of two upcoming films, the documentary ‘Razing Liberty Square’ by Academy Award nominated filmmaker Katja Esson and the feature film ‘A Bit of Light’ directed by Stephen Moyer.

Pauline Glomaud-Murmann

Born and raised in New York City, Pauline received her undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont in Public Communications and Graphic Design. After graduation Pauline began working as an assistant to producer/ line producer Sabine Schenk.

Pauline completed her masters in Filmmaking – Producing Pathway at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2019.

She produced the shorts ‘One Room’ and ‘Smoothies for Lost Souls’. Since graduating, Pauline co-produced/co-directed a music video for an up and coming artist called Yova. Prior to finishing her MA, Pauline had the opportunity to produce another short film titled: ‘The Honoree’ by Anselm Keim. Pauline recently wrapped up producing a BFI Network short film titled ‘BabyDolls’ written and directed by Calvin Demba.
